Samantha is a stone cold killer. She's down in the Philippines living on a yacht off the coast of Manila while she's fulfilling a series of contract hits for an Asian-American crime syndicate. (The syndicate contact is a very attractive Asian woman, pity she doesn't have a larger role in the film.)

Previously mentioned Attractive Asian Woman (The one on the left)

Samantha proceeds to kill her targets in various creative ways. Erotic asphyxiation, and electrocution via mud facial are just two of the creative ways she finds to bump off her victims.

But... It said right on the bag... "Not a toy!"

Death by Chocolate! And a couple hundred volts...

While she's in the process of working her way through killing what seems to be every Caucasian in Manila, she meets an inquisitive police detective who suspects she's the assassin he's searching for, but apparently decides "What the hell, I might as well bang her a couple of times before arresting her."

Hello, my name is Carlos. Has anyone seen Sister Bertrille around?

This is an ultra low budget movie. I'm sure even Roger Corman looked at the budget before buying in and thought, "Damn, these bastards are cheap!" Most of the budget appears to have went for Ms. Caffaro's wardrobe, as she slinks and kick-boxes her way through the movie with numerous wardrobe changes. This woman has a different outfit for every hit, and then another for when she attends her victims funeral.

What a coincidence, I have this matching whip!

The entire movie seems to be staged to showcase Samantha's thin, but serviceable body in one way or another. She works her way through various fight and action scenes with nary a hair out of place, or even a slight smudge of her lipstick.

Technically, the scene before this WAS an action scene.

The grand finale is a huge shootout between rival gangs that Samantha stages using her feminine wiles. The movie ends with Samantha making a graceful exit after drugging her cop boyfriend and leaving him tied up on her yacht, which she has rigged to explode. As her plane flies over the yacht she watches from a her seat as the yacht explodes, leaving open the question of did he make it?

Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk...

The movie has it's high points, most involving Cheri Caffaro's body in one manner or the other. The creativity of the hits is a refreshing change of pace for a film of this calibre. Originality points all around as Samantha works her way through her to-do list.

Samantha played Candyland for keeps...

All in all, it's a shame Cheri only made a few films before deciding to move on to bees. (No, really, check it out.) She was a passable actress, and had a hard, ball-busting edge to her. She's the type of woman you want to take to bed, but you don't dare fall asleep with her.

I'm surprised she and I were never married.

Hmmm... Now where can I put this so I won't forget it?

"Too Hot to Handle" is included in a "Lethal Ladies" collection set with two other movies, "Firecracker" which bills itself as the first erotic kung-fu thriller, and "TNT Jackson", starring former Playboy Playmate Jeanne Bell. "Jackson" includes the notorious "Ima take my top off before I kick you alls asses" scene. The quality of all three prints is much improved over copies I've seen in previous collections. Especially "Jackson".

I gotta say, Lou Diamond Phillips has looked better...

If you're a fan of 70s action flicks, especially the "kick-ass chick" genre, I highly recommend "Lethal Ladies". "Firecracker" and "TNT Jackson" will both be reviewed at a later date.
